cypress evelyn masso (she/they) is a person, a facilitator, an educator, a community builder, a technologist, and an artist.

Originally from Shawnee land (southeastern Ohio), they currently live on Kizh land (colonially known as Los Angeles) with an unwieldy collection of plants. They like to talk about mixed identities, queer poetry, Paayme Paxaayt (the Los Angeles river) and all the ways you can be outside.

As a facilitator, she co-creates playful spaces for peer support and to practice showing up as the highest version of ourselves. These spaces have focused on themes of navigating the world as a queer person, sharing grief, and self trust.

As a technologist, she has worked to create tools, communities, and practices that support access to open source technology literacy, as well as digitally mediated communities and collaboration. She has created and led competent, psychologically safer teams where folks have opportunities to grow with support.

As an artist, she engages with themes of mixed identities, spirituality, and human and non-human connection. Her work spans poetry, printmaking, and digital media.
